Over the past two years, our world has changed dramatically, and with it our opinions towards work and the way we approach it have also undergone a radical makeover.

I have been working with my clients to help them understand privilege and power and to think more broadly about how both elements can be an obstacle to inclusion and equity.

We check our alma mater’s ranking in the U.S. News & World Report, its movement up or down since the previous year and some of us even use the bragging rights to tease good friends at cocktail parties and dinner.

The Wizard of Oz was always a very scary movie to me. It might seem ridiculous now, but as a kid, the green faced witch and the flying gremlins frightened my sister and me.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. That means that for the next 30 days you are likely to see a lot of useful information about mental health, self-care, therapy and checking in with ourselves. (and that is a very good thing.)

Some have asked me why I decided to update my career advice guide and change the title to “From Campus to Career”? The first, and most obvious reason is that, the pandemic changed everything – from the way we live, the way we travel and the way we work.

It’s been about 7 years since my first book of career advice was published and let’s face it…the way we work, live, and do most everything has changed forever.

Tip # 22. Be your authentic self. Don’t waste any time or energy trying to be anything other than who you are.
