About the Icon

The Sweetgrass Basket as the Icon

A nod to her surroundings in Charleston, South Carolina, Leilani’s brand icon is a sweetgrass basket. The sweetgrass basket is South Carolina’s official state handcraft and one of the oldest surviving African art forms in the United States. Basket makers use a special coiled weaving technique to create unique and intricate designs – no two are the same.

Inspired by this tradition passed, Leilani creates unique frameworks for her clients through thoughtful process and expertise, creating impact that endures.
